So, I've mostly finished my faux polonaise. I decided for easy of construction and wear to make the corset and polonaise one piece. I think it's turning out well. It needs to be trimmed and about a gazillion miles of trim and stuff need to be added.

Wow! This is turning out really good. Do you plan on dirtying it up a bit or not? That's my problem with pirate like costumes I feel too bad about dirtying them up.
